Who I am

My name is Kristofer Sommestad, from Stockholm, Sweden. I’m a client- & server-side developer working at SWAD (Swedish Application Development) since August 2010.

I spent the previous 10 years – as a server- & client-side developer as well as client architect – at Swedish game developers Jadestone.

What I do

I do most of my daily development within “AJAX”, PHP, ActionScript, Java and Objective-C. I also spend time delving into areas such as client architecture, performance, productivity and research in new technologies.

What I know

Please check out my LinkedIn profile for details on my expertise.

Why I’m here

I’ve often come across myself browsing the web for solutions on day-to-day issues as well as other research within web devlopment. Therefore, I’m setting up this little blog as a way to share my knowledge and findings in the world of web client development. The purpose isn’t to get 10,000 daily readers, but merely to make the knowledge available for others Googling to get help with their problems.

What you’ll get

Most of the posts will be based on my ideas and reflections on technologies, articles or such. I will not argue that I’m always right, or that I know everything about every topic.

The goal is to give you my views on client-side development.

I’m all open for discussion and new ideas, so don’t hesitate to drop a comment or two, should you feel like it!
